SUSTAINABILITY IN EVERY ASPECT

We have been a “Società Benefit” (an italian legal status for purpose-driven companies), since 2021. Our focus on our people, our territory and community, and the environment, always part of our DNA, has become an established policy.

These commitments are now embedded in the company’s statutory purposes and corporate mission.

We communicate our commitment to our stakeholders in Italy and abroad with transparency through our Sustainability Report, where we report the key results achieved and outline our goals for further improvement in the coming years.

Sustainability Report

A kind hospitality rooted in the territory

Vista neither demolishes nor builds anew, but restores and renovates buildings that are emblematic of their surroundings, returning them to the community and bringing them back to life. For Vista, sustainability also means approaching each site with care, prioritizing lesser-known places rich in history and culture, supporting local communities, promoting thoughtful and responsible hospitality, and showcasing the best of Italy both nationally and internationally.

The most precious asset: our people

For Vista, nothing matters more than people. We promote an inclusive work environment that prioritizes well-being, investing in training, professional growth, and pay equity, while respecting all forms of diversity. Gender equality is a core value for us and is supported by a dedicated internal policy and by a structured pathway aligned with the UNI PdR 125:2022 Gender Equality Certification across the Group, currently being implemented at Vista Ostuni as well.

Carbon Footprint

We measure the carbon footprint of our activities and source energy from renewable sources. We are committed to reducing energy and water consumption through LED lighting, smart building systems, and high-efficiency heat pumps. Laundry operations are closely monitored, and our guests are encouraged to make responsible choices during their stay. We prioritize responsible water use, the selection of natural materials such as wood, stone, and marble, the gradual phase-out of single-use plastics, and the use of refillable dispensers for cleaning products whenever possible.

Vista is not just about the scenic landscapes visible from our hotels, but also about discovering the beauty and richness the surrounding region has to offer. Guests at Vista come to explore a world, not just to stay. We craft tailored experiences and itineraries that unveil the hidden treasures of regions rich in culture, beauty, and tradition. We see ourselves as ambassadors of the wonders of the destionations where we operate, committed to preserving their natural and historical integrity. We do this by adopting best practices and engaging with various stakeholders. We are proud to be a Golden Donor of FAI, sharing their mission to safeguard cultural and natural heritage.

Food as the most precious asset

In our restaurants, we prioritize fresh, seasonal ingredients, sourcing as much as possible from local producers to support the community and reduce transportation emissions. Our suppliers are carefully selected partners, chosen for their quality, reliability and proximity. Each chef follows a mindful approach to food preparation, minimizing waste, conserving energy, and highlighting natural, local ingredients. Our menus are designed to celebrate quality, variety, and inclusivity, reflecting the same care we extend to the dining experiences of our staff.

Soft mobility

We promote soft mobility and low-impact tourism. Vista Ostuni offers charging stations for electric cars and e-bike stations, while Vista Verona provides guests with a dedicated bicycle fleet to explore the city and its surroundings freely. Both hotels are bike-friendly and, upon request, support e-bike rentals, encouraging guests to discover destinations in a slow and mindful way.

Circular Economy

At all Vista properties, we use the Luxury Silk Style courtesy line, made with whole sericin, a natural product derived from silk processing: a 100% Italian solution with recycled and recyclable packaging. Vista Verona participates in the international Clean the World program, recovering unused guest hygiene products to create kits for vulnerable communities in developing countries.
