SUSTAINABILITY IN EVERY ASPECT

We have been a “Società Benefit” (an italian legal status for purpose-driven companies), since 2021. Our focus on our people, our territory and community, and the environment, always part of our DNA, has become an established policy.

These commitments are now embedded in the company’s statutory purposes and corporate mission.

We communicate our commitment to our stakeholders in Italy and abroad with transparency through our Sustainability Report, where we report the key results achieved and outline our goals for further improvement in the coming years.

Sustainability Report

A kind hospitality rooted in the territory

Vista neither demolishes nor builds anew, but restores and renovates buildings that are emblematic of their surroundings, returning them to the community and bringing them back to life. For Vista, sustainability also means approaching each site with care, prioritizing lesser-known places rich in history and culture, supporting local communities, promoting thoughtful and responsible hospitality.

The most precious asset: our people

At Vista, people are at the heart of everything we do. We foster an inclusive work environment, with a strong focus on wellbeing, continuous training, professional growth and fair compensation, while respecting diversity in all its forms. Gender equality is a key value and is supported by a dedicated policy and by the Certification for Gender Equality UNI/PdR 125:2022 across our hotels and offices, with the goal of extending the certification to Vista Ostuni.

Carbon Footprint

We measure the carbon footprint of our operations and continuously work to reduce our environmental impact. Today, 97% of the electricity used across our hotels comes from certified renewable sources and, thanks to the procurement of green electricity, we have reduced our emissions by 63%. We strive to reduce energy and water consumption through efficient solutions, encourage the responsible use of resources, including in our laundry operations, by engaging guests in sustainable practices during their stay, prioritise natural materials and continue our journey towards eliminating single-use plastics by replacing them with refillable dispensers.

Discovering beauty and goodness

Vista is not just about the scenic landscapes visible from our hotels, but also about discovering the beauty and richness the surrounding region has to offer. Guests at Vista come to explore a world, not just to stay. We craft tailored experiences and itineraries that unveil the hidden treasures of regions rich in culture, beauty, and tradition. We see ourselves as ambassadors of the wonders of the destionations where we operate, committed to preserving their natural and historical integrity. We do this by adopting best practices and engaging with various stakeholders. We are proud to be a Golden Donor of FAI, sharing their mission to safeguard cultural and natural heritage.

Food as the most precious asset

In our restaurants, we prioritize fresh, seasonal ingredients, with careful attention to local sourcing and the quality of ingredients. Our suppliers are selected as partners based on reliability and proximity, with the aim of supporting shorter supply chains and greater logistical efficiency. Our chefs adopt a mindful approach to food preparation, with initiatives aimed at reducing waste, while enhancing natural and locally sourced ingredients. Menus are designed to ensure both quality and inclusivity, including in staff dining services.

Soft mobility

We promote a slower approach to travel. At Vista Ostuni, it's possible to explore the surrounding area by bicycle, e-bike or electric Microlino, offering the freedom to discover the White City and its countryside at their own pace. The Hotel also features an electric vehicle charging station. At Vista Verona, located in the heart of the historic centre and without on-site parking, cycling is the most natural way to experience the destination and discover its most authentic corners at a slower pace.

Circular Economy

At all Vista properties, we use the Luxury Silk Style courtesy line, made with whole sericin, a natural product derived from silk processing: a 100% Italian solution with recycled and recyclable packaging. Vista Verona participates in the international Clean the World program, recovering unused guest hygiene products to create kits for vulnerable communities in developing countries.
